Will they get along?

TSC had Speckled Sussex Straight run yesterday. It was sooooo hard to walk away!! But I have to many coming in April as it is. We are starting out flock with a wandotte rainbow. My Girls decided that. But if I were to get some and keep one pullet in the flock would it be left out and alone or will it integrate into the flock? ( Chicken Math I guess)

Chickens are not prejudiced. All colors and varieties are accepted in a flock. That being said, some breeds due to temperment/personality traits may spend more time together than mixed with others.

Thank you. Off to TSC then. Have been setting up a brooder, working on getting the temp right. Started with a 100w got to 110 deg shut it off went to a 75w shut that off at 105 deg. waiting on the 60w now. When it is good, off we go.
