Will they go under?

I wasn't sure where to post this. I have 2 sheds that sit about 6-8 inches off the ground. When regular chickens (not bantam) are fully grown, will they attempt to go under the shed and will they be successful? We also have a fence that ranges from on the ground to probably 6 inches off. Will they try to go under that too? Thanks for your help!

More than likely, yes to both.
But both those situations could be fixed.


You could add an anti-dig apron to the shed, similar to this:

Wouldn't have to go out as far to deter chickens as it would to deter digging predators.

It's a definite yes that they will go under the sheds. More than likely they'll try to lay eggs under there as well.
