Will this coop be ok in cold temps?

Just make sure that the humidity can escape the coop.
If you see frost forming on the inside of walls, then it's too humid and you need to open some ventilation.
Frostbite is due to humidity in freezing temps...not just the cold.

Yes, that would be my concern. We have quite a few silkies here and one pair is in a cheapy coop.. that is our "bachelor pad" we have been pretty cold and they have done fine...

Good ventilation, feed/water, plenty of bedding etc... no heat, that would burn this mini coop down!

Ok we decided against heat and just covered the bottom mesh floor with towels and then lots of straw. That seemed to help the draft I could feel in the coop earlier. They sure did enjoy kicking the straw around when we put it in! :)

My coop, it's on a 7 acres and the wind is real bad here.....so far so good

It's wrapped in plastic and a tarp with snow packet up half of the sides along with some bales of hay on one side that doesn't have plastic so there can be some air flow...

Glad all ended well. Ours roos were fine too.. despite frigid temps.

glad to hear that everything worked out for you, I bet the straw helped the birds find a way to pass some time while waiting for the cold weather to pass.
