will this DIY humidity controller work?

I dont like using ultrasonic humidifiers for humidity control of my incubator....i believe the piezo will die affter a whiile and needs to be changed...so i ended up designing my own...it is placed inside the incubator, do u think it will work? picture attached

Nice idea!

Humidity comes from surface area of the water tank. Closing the top would not change the humidity. You would need to change size of the tank to make it have less surface area.

My Brinsea uses water on a paper pad and a pump that is controlled by a built in humidity gauge to add water to the sponge. The more water added, the more surface area.

It is fairly simple.

It wouldn't change the humidity but it stops it from rising, then after a while when the humidity drops, it'll turn on again
