Will this duck be ok?

I posted the other day when my 7 duck eggs from a supermarket were hatching and people were so kind and helpful.

Sadly one duck passed, it was floppy and couldn't hold itself up and only lived a day. We had one that pipped at the wrong end though and had to help it out of its shell completely yesterday morning, and it's much smaller and paler than the rest. It's very shaky, like it's cold, and wobbly on its feet. It is drinking and trying to run around with the others, but falls over a lot and I haven't seen it eat yet. I'm quite invested in the little fella, he's called Cheese, and I'd really like for Cheese to be ok!

Has anybody else had a similar small, unsteady duck that ended up being ok?

Also, if anyone has any advice on when ducklings can start eating greens and stuff, I'd love to hear what fun foods you start your little guys on! Ours are now between 3 and 1 day old. Thanks!

Here’s a pic, just because :) he’s the smaller one with its head up

What precious ducklings. Do you have any poultry vitamins? I'd start using liquid b complex just a drop or 2 right inside the bill to start with and then some in their water. All waterfowl babies need niacin and liquid b complex is so good for them. Very sorry you lost one, and hopefully this little one just needs a few days of TLC and it will be okay. If you're in the US TSC carries durvet liquid B complex it will say injectable but we use it orally. Scrambled eggs is another way of helping them get a good start. Nothing added to them just scrambled eggs. I'd wait at least a week or 2 before giving treats and make sure you have chick grit for them put it into a separate bowl they will use it as needed.

Miss Lydia, thank you so much!

I have niacin but no liquid b complex, I shall get some right away. Scrambled eggs, this might be a stupid question but duck or chicken eggs?
