I had a turkey hatch out just now, and he was stuck. By trial and error (mostly error) I find that with turkey eggs, you shouldn't sit them in cartons in a Brinsea. It is just not tall enough to give them room to get out of their egg. SOOOO I had to quickly open the lid (not all the way and I had boosted the humidity to 80) and while trying to get the egg out of the carton so he could get himself out, I dumped the other 4 eggs. OMG Is this gonna hurt them, one is pipped, but the pipped side landed up Now they are all on their sides instead of big end up in the carton.

I think they will be fine, after all newly hatched chicks play soccer with the unhatched one it seems, and they end up fine...

I was also worried about shrink wrap? The humidity dropped to 61 and was back up to 75 in about 20 seconds or less. The eggs didn't fall any distance, just tumbled over,

They should be fine....they normally like to play football with their slow buddies anyhow.

Ive "forgotten" had a couple hatches in the rack (rock a bye bab-thank goodness they have let me KNOW lol) only to quickly discover and dump the whole bunch FAST...never had a bad hatch due to my half senior/half wannabe blonde moments.

Good Luck!!!

Thanks! I feel a little better - and OH YES I know about those Senior moments. They seem to be coming closer together now days

Well only time will tell on that one, the only ones I would truly worry about is the ones already pipped. But I have had to open to help in the past (Yes I am a helper when needed) hatch still did well, But I do notice if the Humidity goes down then back up really fast the goo gets really thick and can suffocate a baby if it's beak can't get to air.

The one that is pipped, I can see his little beak near the "air hole', and it looks like he may be getting ready to zip. Guess it will be a long nite, gotta keep watch over him. If needed, should I just break a little away from the pipped area so he can get more air?
