Will this work as an “automatic feeder”?

My goal for this is that I don’t have to put new feed out for them multiple times a day. Would it work if I cut on the outline?

I put in about 8 cups at a time with a couple of heaping tablespoons of nutritional yeast over the food. That lasts me about 3 days. I've got 2 buckets and 10 grown ducks. I don't like to put a ton of food in at one time to keep it fresh.

In your case with only 2 ducks I'd put in 4 cups in one bucket which should last for 2 days I would think....at least. You will have to see how much they eat and adjust from there.

I lock my buckets up at night too so nothing can get to them. They have food access for over 12 hours a day and I figure they are going to be fine all night while they should be sleeping anyway. I don't put water in my pens either.
