Will voles bother chickens?

Hi, I'm from Wales. We have a vast number of voles. They are little fellows, slightly bigger than a mouse, but have a rather thicker body and a short tail, only a centimetre or so long. We have them scurrying around everywhere where our chickens free range. Voles do not pose any problem to the chickens at all and serve to distract the overhead predators (kites and buzzards mainly) from any smaller chickens,

I took this picture on the side of my house it was going across the sidewalk. Is this a Shrew trail in the snow?????
