The ramps are on hinges, so they lift up. Otherwise, yes it would be in the way.

I'm going to try to get Pippi, the cockerel, interested in it today. If he will go in, the girls will follow. Yesterday no amount of treats would get anyone to venture in. I know I can just put them in there, but I'm trying this first.
