I snapped a couple pics of how awful it is and what my chickens are doing, but my rooster who I have only had in the flock for about 3 weeks is standing outside the car protecting his girls (Under the car) from sideways coming rain. I don't know if he is just being loyal, or if his girls are saying something like "Humper (his name

) you are a big strong rooster protect us from this storm" Poor guy

I will show pics later.

LOL Those roos are always putting on a show, aren't they. Our entire house just shook from the rumbling thunder and my one crazy roo is standing outside saying "hey, it's cooler out here now that there's a breeze".

Crazy you say? Or is it borderline stoopid

? Mine is just a sex-link, which I have noticed is not the smartest type of chicken.

You probably have some sort of Purple Orpington bred into the first estate. . .

I think they just like rain honestly, fowl play.

Here is a pic. It was so dark from the storm that it is hard to see. But here is Humper, he stood right there for 15 minutes through hail, thunder, rain, lighting, and the wind.

He will, but at that point it had been thundering and raining for 5 minutes. I don't know why they didn't come on to our covered porch.
