Please give me advice on a window size for a coop where the sides are 4' high by 6' long. I thought I only needed small windows, but is bigger better? I live in the Pacific Northwest, so we do get rain in winter. The windows will have a way to close them and we will put some 2" vents under the roof for air circulation. It only gets below freezing for short periods of time here.

The roost will be at 2' high, so the bottom of the window will be 2' off the ground. Is 12" x 12" too little; 12" x 30" wide too long? Or should the window be longer. Not sure of the advantages/disadvantages.

Thank you. I am a total beginner so any advice is appreciated.

The free ones on CL are the right size. But seriously, bigger is better. Your chickens will enjoy basking in the sunshine on a cool day so position it so they can get sun while roosting. I would go with 36".
