Wine anyone?

We drink Michigan wine from Traverse Bay, Old Mission and some other wineries. A lot of Michigan wine is fruit wine like cherry or blueberry. Traverse Bay does make some good Chardonnay though. For white wines, that's my favorite although I do like white zinfadel too. Also pino grigio. The local gas stations around here also sell Solterra Chilean wine and the Chardonnay for that is good.

Other than the Michigan cherry wines, there isn't a lot of variety here. We're in beer country.

When I lived outside of Ann Arbor--now THERE's where I could get a lot of wine!

I love Barefoot pinot grigiot, also a good reisling. I haven't ventured into the reds yet, except for a pinot noir

I've only met one wine that didn't have at least one redeeming quality, and that was a dirt cheap chianti way back in the day before I knew better.

It was so bad I wouldn't even cook with it.

My MIL would really like that Ed Hardy Lambrusco, she likes sweet sparkling red and white wines.

For white wines, I really enjoy reislings and gewurztraminers. I recently bought a Barefoot moscato for my husband to try, moscato is the only wine he likes at all. I like it with dessert.

I'll drink white zinfandel but really prefer zinfandel.

For those of you who like a dry red wine, try Yellow Tail Shiraz/Cabernet. It's a mixed red and SO good.

There's a Hungarian red wine that I really enjoy, but I can't remember the name of it and couldn't spell it even if I could. I just know where it sits on the shelf at the store.

My sister manages a liquor store so she introduces me to all the good stuff.

We are pretty far north and have a local winery that makes all fruit wines, like chokecherry, blueberry, rhubarb...they are very good.

I do not understand the concept of tasting wines, to me, I cannot tell the difference between one wine or other other they all just taste like, well, wine! I am not a big red wine person, I prefer whites, and blushes give me a headache. Cannot stand Champagne either. Any wine that starts with a P gives me heartburn, my stomach is sensitive. That being said, I do buy a lot of wine. I do have a favorite brand, but for the life of me, I cannot think of what that is at the moment.

Edited to add that my favorite is Beringer brand.
