It's wineberry season and I've got a lot growing in my yard. The chickens aren't able to get to them but there were a few berries with lots of holes in them from bugs so my grandfather threw them in with my silkies. They're very picky when it comes to food but absolutely went crazy for them. I've been trying to find somewhere online that says if they are okay for chickens to consume but I haven't had any luck. Does anyone know if they're safe for them to eat? Thanks:)

Wild birds eat them like mad. I seriously doubt that they are harmful to chickens. BEST jelly I have ever tasted is wineberry jelly. At a local fair there is a grange that serves desserts. They always have wineberry/blueberry pie.
