We don't clip, mostly because our ducks only get about 2 feet off the ground when flying, and we have a 4 foot fence. If I had a super flying duck or other bird, as I might someday, I think I might consider flight feather clipping. But in my experience, if the birds are well fed and happy at home, they will come back if they decide to venture out.
