I just clipped atleast 1 wing on most my birds and they still get out. I think its because they get up on doghouse roof then on coop roof then fly down to the grass

I need a detailed description of just how to clip the wings of my 3 month old pullets. 7 of the 15 made the big escape over their 6 foot fence today. I was shocked to find them wandering around the garden. Boy were they happy to see me! They ran for their food and water when I opened the coop door ! Who says chickens are dumb? I hate to clip heir wings but I would hate more for them to fly away! Thanks, I will be watching for a reply.
