Hi! I’m wondering (soley for fun) if you would assume these two birds to be of the same sex. You’re welcome to guess their sex too (again for fun, I realize there’s no science behind it) but I’m mostly wondering if you assume they’re both the same. I assume they are.

Typically with my different sexes I see a large difference in the development of feathering

I’ve been able to sex chicks as young as a few days old, but not by feathers. I look at the chicks’ combs compared to members of the same breed. And, later, I look for the start of pointed feathers on their hackles and shoulders, which can actually show up pretty early in a lot of cases. I would assume those chicks are the same sex simply because they’re so young right now.
