wing feathers

Our rooster keeps flying out of his yard and the dogs attacked him. I cut just one wing so he will still be able to jump high and hopefully still roost.

Does anyone have experience clipping wing feathers? Do you clip one wing or both?

I have never had to do this before so any advice will be helpful! Thanks!

When you clip wing feathers you are supposed to clip on one wing only.

well thats a relief at least... do you think it effects the chickens mentally?

The only down-side is that it makes them less able to evade predators.
