Wing It Ranch

I also got some good pics of the boy. I'm guessing this is what you guys who breed to SOP call the squirrel tail?

Called in to work today so I could prep for the freeze. Been wrapping pipes, filling water jugs, getting gas & firewood. All solo because my partner is working late.

I think I'm prepared? As prepared as I can be anyway. I hope Daisy holds her baby in until after this nasty weather passes! Cross those legs, girl!!

This storm is giving me Helene vibes. 😭
Oh Lordy, I hope not. It’s not associated with super-high winds; it hasn’t been preceded by 2 days of torrential downpours.

In worst case scenarios for our region, I’m expecting heavy accumulation of ice, bringing down powerlines and maybe cell towers, resulting in several days without power in the setting of bitter cold (6°F; -14.4°C.)

That’s bad, but that’s not Helene bad. Hope so, anyway. 🤞🤞🤞

That is what’s giving me flashbacks. After Helene we could at least drive to get cell service but I don’t think that is going to be happening and I’m not hiking to the top of the mountain in the cold and snow. That was at least doable after Helene

Yikes! I didn't even think about cell service. I've never been in a bad winter freeze before. I had moved out of state for the one that hit TX a few years ago burst everyone's pipes and killed all the trees. I have been through a few hurricanes.

I'm prepared with firewood and a generator if we lose power. If we lose cell service, I have many books.
