Wing sex? boy or girl?

Hi, I hope this is the right section to post this,
I wing sexed my 12 chicks when they where 1 week old (give or take a day) but now I read that you can only do that between 1-3 days of hatch. Is that true? Now I'm worried that I might have a cock in there.( they looked like all pullets)

They are now about 3 weeks old and growing fast. How soon will I be able to tell? Can I vent sex them?(not that I would want to do that haha) My breeds are listed below

2 brahmas
1 buff orpington
3 Americana's
and 6 RIR

Thanks for any help or advice! -click cluck

Yes wing sexing is to be done between 1 and 3 days. After that the cockerels growth will catch up to the pullets.
The bigger problem is wing sexing not only doesn't work on your breeds it doesn't work on any breeds and very few crosses.
Wing sexing is sex linked and like all sex links it only works when using the right breeds and the right crossing to produce a hybrid.
You have to cross a fast feathering rooster to a slow feathering hen. The offspring end up the opposite.
Pullets feathering in fast and cockerels feathering in slow.

Additionally, please do not attempt to vent sex your own chicks at this point. That should be done on day of hatch by a trained professional. You can injure your babies if you "try this at home".
Absolutely agree
I've got decades of chicken experience and learned long ago to leave that to the professionals.

By now, there's nothing to do except wait until they're ready. You'll be able to sex them at about 6-7 weeks. You can post another thread then with pictures and we can help. Look for rooster-like behavior, red and large combs/wattles, different feathering, and large tails when that time comes. However, don't assume what they are until they are old enough -- chickens can be tricky!

Also, where did you get them, or did you hatch them yourself? If you got them from a store or hatchery, they most likely have a sexed versus straight run option. If you got the sexed, then that means that you have about a 10% chance of them being a rooster. If you want a for sure flock of pullets, get Sex-Links. They are great layers, and one of my favorite breeds of chickens! They're called Sex-Links because they're a certain cross of chickens that makes it so the males are different colors than females when hatched.
