Wing sexing

Hmm, I've used this technique before......
Males have short round wings that feather slower than pullets, plus cockerels don't grow a tail as fast as pullets, how old are the sweeties?
In the photos that I just posted they are almost 6 weeks. The photos of the wings they where 3 weeks

Nice pictures. Although they are not freshly hatched chicks for us to make an educated guess. But, they are too young to make an educated guess at this point. If you bought sex linked, then you would already know your answer. Take pictures looking straight down and profiles of their entire bodies when they are appix 10 weeks old. Thats when the fun begins. Start making plans for your unwanted birds or build a coop for the cockerels you do not want. Remember the saying.. One Cockerel to 8 minimum to 10 pullets. Then keep the nicest one.
Enjoy the art of chick keeping. See ya in 8-10 weeks and longer if they're EE. Good luck!!
