Wing sexing

I posted a thread yesterday about the gender of my four week old chicks and the ones I thought were males all got tail feathers a lot slower also Google said I can Wing sex them at 2 to 3 days old and that the females have two layers and the boys only have one, you know what I mean? Does that process work? There was a definite difference in the rows of feathers on them there was two different types either one single row or two rows
