Wing shape sexing coturnix quail

How accurate is wing sexing based on the shape of the wings? 1step wing vs 2step "w" shape wing. I have 7 week coturnix quail.

At 7 weeks, they're going to start crowing or laying soon.
Wing sexing is only accurate in the first few days of a chickens life, (couldn’t tell you about quail) and they have to be bred for it.

This does not apply to quail. Seven weeks old is old enough to vent sex them if they are not feather sexable.
