I'm fine with everyone having their chickens read and write, I just choose not to give mine those abilities. The talking makes sense--chickens talk with each other. We're just translating it into English from . . . chickenese

And they can write in chickenese too, but we just translate that to English also!

Well, it's more the fact I've never seen a chicken actually hold a writing utensil. I'm not even sure how they would go about that.
