Ducks... I remember Sheldy and Noodle. Both have disappeared from the river. They are only one and a half so they can't have died.
We suspect people took 'em for eggs or meat, as they're both Pekins and can't run very fast.

Yes, I did! We got two white pekin ducklings from some friends who own a cucumber farm just north of Adelaide...
We named them Sheldy and noodle. Cute buggers, until they got so smelly we had to release them to the Torrens river

Yeah, it's pretty sad, but they had a few months of good free life!
