He took another step back and accidently stepped on a twig, it snapped under his weight and the bird’s head jerked up. It looked him right in the eye and scowled, he had never seen it look so evil, for as long as he had known it. At first he didn't believe his eyes and thought it was a mistake, but when it slowly started walking towards him he knew what he saw was true. For the bird standing just across the border, was Willowpaw. "Why?" He choked, it was all he could think to say

She smiled and for a second she looked as though he was used to her looking, instead of the twisted expression she wore now "Don't you see Lionpaw?" She replied "I can have so much more here, so much more power. The fools in WingClan can't even defend their borders anymore, there are more non-members living in the camp then there are members. ShadowClan is a proper Clan, and thats what makes them stronger, more powerful"

Lionpaw felt like he was going to throw up "B-b-but" He stammered "You don't have to leave... Eaglestar is going to set down some more rules, he said he was!"

"He's been promising that for weeks, same with the attack against HackleClan for nearly killing you and Fawnpaw. ShadowClan doesn't stand for that, and there are no injured birds seeking help, there are no ememy Clans mauling their warriors without punishment" She said "WingClan has such a horrible reputation its only a matter of time before a rogue comes along and takes advantage of it. WingClan will fall under Eaglestar's leadership the way things are going, and I will not be part of it when that happens"

"But Iceberry... and Tysontoe" He exclaimed "You can't leave your parents like that!"

"They are just as soft as the rest" She spat "Fools, Iceberry actually thought she could outsmart Dovestar by sneaking in to rescue Fawnpaw. Little did she know I was telling them everything about her plans, EVERYTHING. She wouldn't have had a chance if I hadn't told Dovestar to let her live"

"Why do you want her to live?" The moment the words left his beak he knew the answer

"Because I want her to watch, watch as I become deputy, and then leader of ShadowClan. Watch as I pick off everyone she cares about one by one" She grinned and Lionpaw was insantly reminded of the bird who haunted his nightmares. Scarface.

I feel horrible now. MH's birds pop in without having to get through guards or cross the border; they pop in effortlessly, like they're magical or something. I haven't began the war with HackleClan because everybody keeps leaving. Now I'm paying for all of it.

It's just a game, I guess. Oh well, right?
