A horrible clink struck a tall spire rock behind her, "Turul, dear one," answered the mysterious bird as he grinned crookedly, "...You know who I am." "Why have you come?" she asked him, but when she turned to see him he was gone. She turned again, and he was somehow inches behind her. "How did you-" "Shhh, quiet, my dear. You cannot tell anyone of my presence." he interrupted in a hushed tone, she nodded slowly with widened eyes as he crept onward through the forest.
