Quartz was tired of being kept inside the MineralWing kingdom. He wanted to explore the world, see the sky, the grass and the trees. Luckily, he was at the age where he would be let out. He wondered how his eyes would react to the sunlight. He figured he would still prefer his mineral-enriched caves (since he is a MineralWing) but would still love to be outside.

Aphono clutched his wing, groaning in pain. He’d just woken up from a nap in the middle of a forest. He had no idea where he was and needed to find out if he wanted to make it back to the Webwing kingdom.

Well in his form I said he was captured by the cavewings while spying on them, and had finally broke out. So he’s probably in between the cavewings and mineralwings! So your character and mine could bump into each other?!

His parents called him from his room. They said it was time for his first flight out. Him, his newly-hatched sister, and is mom and dad flew to the cave opening. All the other 10 year olds and the queen were there. He was very excited.

Quartz stood right by the opening, his parents waving goodbye with their talons. A few of the guards were coming on the flight, so that they could supervise the 10 year olds. The queen said goodbye, and off they flew.
