Blackflower turned to Atlantis after the SkyWing guard had left.
“Reva was enchanted to kill me and Brightscales, right?” She said. “So let Leif think that we’re dead. When he sees Reva not attacking, that’s what he’ll think. We have to make everyone think that we’re dead, even our subjects.
She grimaced. I need to find someone to take over briefly, so I can take my sister in to hiding. You two didn’t see, but she got hit by the venom really bad.”
Blackflower’s expression was pained. “I need to go check on her- I’ll send a NightWing to you. She can maybe help.”
The NightWing healer finished wrapping Stargazer’s face, leaving only one eye to look out of. “There.” She said, steeping back. “You’re okay to go, just take it easy.”
She moved over to a white a green flushed dragon in a cot in the corner, checking the bandages on her. The dragon didn’t move when she put more ointment on her wounds and left.
Stargazer stood up, inaudibly muttering, "Thanks," before lifting into the air and soaring out the open stone door.
Her head was still pounding. Not from the venom, but from the vision. She kept getting images of weird new dragons in her head. She could only glimpse them- one seemed to have two pairs of eyes, and another was brighter than the sun.
She had memorized the words of the prophecy by now. They were cycling through her head over and over, like they were on a conveyor belt.
She glanced down at the other NightWings below, who were looked like they were having a
normal day and not having their eyes burned out by an enchanted RainWing, or their minds exploding with visions, or seeing a giant IceWing appear in the middle of the kingdom.
Now what was Stargazer supposed to do? Her visions weren't telling her
that. The queen was probably occupied with the animus IceWing, so she likely wouldn't care about the prophecy. And how would Stargazer get there herself? There was no way she could fly for who knows how long into unknown territory, without ANYONE else.
Wait.
She dropped down onto the ground, the palace straight in front of her.
There was a SeaWing that had arrived here earlier.
Didn't one of the dragons say something about him being an animus? If he was an animus- or, a
sane animus, at least- maybe he could enchant something for her. Something that could teleport dragons to wherever they wanted. Then not only would that help Blackflower, but it would let Stargazer get to the third continent.
Now she had to find him, and hope he would agree to that plan.
