Leif smiled. "Ah, Queen Brightscales." His white teeth glistened in the moonlight. "Thank you, Cinta, you may release her." The SkyWing stumbled off, taking her hesitant place beside Leif. "Brightscales, love, don't be such a coward." Leif called to the empty space. "Reappear." He ordered.

Brightscales’ scales immediately flashed white and stayed like that as she panicked, looking all over herself. *How the heck did he do THAT?* She thought frantically.

Leif met her gaze with a dark smile. "Come here. No running away." He chuckled, lowering his head to look her in the eye. "Where is Queen Blackflower?" He whispered, softly.

Brightscales sat froze with terror, her eyes wide as her scales finally shifted to a light green and grey whirling mess. *I don’t, know, I don’t know! She thought frantically. I was trying to find her, but got attacked by a SkyWing! How am I supposed to tell him that?* She shook her head frantically.

”She.. can’t tell you.” Ender said quietly from beside Cyprus. “Because if her wound.” He mentioned with his nose to the queen’s neck.
