Ender froze suddenly like a living statue. He could still hear Leif talking, and see what was in front of him, but every muscle in his body was solid as a rock.
Brighscales walked herself over to Leif and stood in front of him, her eyes squeezed shut and scales whirling with black and green.

Blackflower groaned when Leif collapsed into the palace wall. THAT was going to take forever to rebuild. “You can’t even hear me!” She cried in vain when the animus had pounced on her sister the first time.
She watched Leif freeze Cinta, and the NightWing and LeafWing nearby. She grumbled as she watched Brightscales fearfully walk herself to the IceWing with her eyes shut.
“Let’s see if he’ll notice this.” She muttered, flying up and breathing flames straight into Leif’s eyes.
(And yeah, he will notice. He can even touch her, just not see her)

Leif gasped, failing. His fist connecting with something solid, he staggered back. The IceWing shielded his eyes, blinking in horror as he strained to see. "No, no, no," he whispered. The pain tingled, just settling in when the world came into focus once again. Leif exhaled with relief, feeling tentatively around his eyes. He dragged a talon down his face, sighing heavily. "Reveal yourself." Of course it didn't work. Leif fumbled for Brightscales. His talons closed around her neck. "Let's try this again." Leif cleared his throat, squinting. "Reveal yourself or she dies."

He realized that he could still move his mouth, to a measure. “I have no idea what’s happening, but apparently you can’t hear her.” He said, looking from Leif to Blackflower nervously. “She said she can’t reveal herself. She’s not an animus though. The animus who did it is hidden also. Please don’t kill Queen Brightscales!” He said, practically squeaking the last part fearfully.

I just realized Raptor could see Bflower cause she isn’t loyal to Leif.

Leif straightened, dropping Brightscales. "Freeze," he ordered, "And dear Blackflower, don't go far. If you attack me again Brightscales will proceed to strangle herself." The massive IceWing turned to Ender. "What do you know of this Animus? Where is he?" Leif snarled, viciously.

Ender’s eyes widened. “I don’t know! I don’t know! I- I heard it in Queen Blackflower’s thoughts, alright? I have no idea!” He trembled, his talons still planted firmly into the ground.

Leif snatched a chipped piece off marble, chucking it at Chenoa's ice statue. "I'll get the truth somehow," he grumbled, the ice encasing the tiny NightWing beginning to melt rapidly.

Leif snatched a chipped piece off marble, chucking it at Chenoa's ice statue. "I'll get the truth somehow," he grumbled, the ice encasing the tiny NightWing beginning to melt rapidly.

Chenoa had indeed survived . When she was completely thawed out, she said “thank you your majesty ” She glanced over at Cyprus. “Glad you froze him. He’s not the kindest soul on Pyrria.”
