Wings of Fire ~The RP: The Three Continents

You still planning on going with this Matty? ^

(I'm quoting your post mainly, the other's just there to provide some context)
Cicada arrived in the meeting chambers her mother had said to meet her in. The guards allowed her past, and she ducked her head guiltily as Queen Pollen looked over to her with a stern expression. Cicada quickly sidled up next to the imposing black dragon with fuzzy yellow splotches down her back and sides.
She dared not look into her mother’s eyes, and winced when she realized that she was being stared at.
She was really hoping she wouldn’t be hearing ANOTHER lecture.

“A convoy of LeafWings were spotted flying here to Wasp Hive.” Pollen said flatly, and her daughter winced again. “It must be about your little.. visit. I don’t want you to say anything.”
“It’s not like you let me talk anyway during your royal meetings.” She said with a whine in her voice. Pollen’s eyes looked sharply over at her and Cicada snapped her mouth shut.
“Well especially don’t say anything today.” Her mother rebuked as the sound of wingbeats grew closer. “I don’t want you making Acacia angry.”
Cicada wanted to tell her that Acacia was too nice to be upset and probably wasn’t coming to complain, but with flattened ears, decided not to push the issue and make her mother any more angry than she already was.

The LeafWings flew in with a flurry of green wings; assorted browns and golds flashing between scales. Queen Acacia’s only daughter, like Cicada but much older, let herself make a loud thump as she landed in front of Queen Pollen.
Cicada blinked in surprise, a lot of the green dragons looked restlessly upset, and kept clenching their talons and glancing over at her. Cicada curled her claws inward. She wasn’t in that much trouble.. was she? And why wasn’t Queen Acacia here?
The LeafWing princess nodded politely enough to Pollen, but her expression was grim, and when she glanced at Cicada, her eyes shone with anger and maybe a slight bit of.. sorrow?
“Queen Pollen.” She said with an authoritative tone; surely the daughter of royalty.
“Flytrap,” Pollen said back, cocking her head slightly, and voiced what all the HiveWings in the room were thinking, “why isn’t Queen Acacia here?”
“Are you aware of what your daughter was doing yesterday?” Flytrap went on, holding her head at a slightly haughty angle. Pollen’s brow furrowed. “Of course. She’s been punished, I can assure you.”
Cicada felt like she might explode with embarrassment. Her talons burned, and she stared at the floor hard.
“You’re going to have to do more than that to appease the LeafWings.” Flytrap snarled, her pink eyes burning with anger now. “She didn’t tell you everything she did, did she?” She said, and Cicada could feel the princess’ eyes burning at her face. She looked up slightly, still not wanting to make eye contact with the green dragon, but wondering what she could possibly be talking about.
*I didn’t do anything wrong while I was there, right? I mean, that sundew’s going to be hungry, but other than that I didn’t do anything bad..*

Pollen looked sharply over at her.
“What do you mean? Cicada, what does she mean?” The black dragon looked into her mother’s eyes and shook her head desperately. “N- nothing! I didn’t do anything wrong!” Flytrap hissed. “Queen Acacia didn’t come home last night.” She said, her tone cold. A fury raged at the edge of her voice, as though she might just end up screaming everything she was going to say next. She turned to look Pollen in the eyes, pointing a claw at Cicada in a dreadfully accusing way that sent shivers of fear down her spine.

“Queen Acacia is dead. And her murderer is your daughter.”

( oh heavens! poor Cyprus!)

@Bakbuk if you want, Cyprus could be a part of the guard, or see them going to Wasp Hive and follow.

Cicada felt her heart seize in her chest. Queen Acacia was DEAD?? How?
Her eyes flew over to her mother’s face, but Pollen just stared at her with an unbelieving expression.
“That’s not- that couldn’t be true..” Pollen said faintly. “Cicada?” The latter’s jaw dropped. “Mother? No- no, I didn’t! I’d never!”
Flytrap hissed, thoroughly unbelieving. “I guess she’s as much of a liar as she is a murderer.”
Cicada’s claws clutched the solid treestuff floor, anchoring herself as though the accusations were about to knock her off her feet. Which it felt like they were.
“No! I’m not a murderer..” her voice trailed off. She realized that she’d never even said that word before.
Pollen was still lost for words. Flytrap glared at her. “Your highness, let’s go discuss it somewhere else. I suggest you post guards on your dragonet. Don’t want her trying to run now that she’s been caught.”
Two HiveWing guards warily stepped on either side of her, and Cicada couldn’t tell if they believed Flytrap or not. The LeafWing growled when she saw only two guards move in. She glanced at her own guard, mentioning for them to keep a close eye on the HiveWing princess as her and Pollen left the room.

(How old is Flytrap ?)

Name: Queen Flytrap
Gender: Female
Age: 34
Tribe: LeafWings
Physical appearance: Dark green scales, with a lighter green belly, and sail down her back and tail. She has maroon, slightly pink scales scattered down her sides. On the undersides of her wings is a bright pink, almost maroon color that fades to a light green on the edges. Her eyes are dark maroon.
Personality: Flytrap has a tough demeanor, and can come off as rough or uncaring to dragons she doesn’t know very well. However, she’s very loyal to the dragons she’s close to, and loved her mother dearly. Acacia’s age gave her a false sense that her mother would live forever, and when she died Flytrap was shook to the core.
Backstory: Flytrap always loved her mother, and when she got older, made a promise to herself to always keep Acacia safe, but believes she failed when her mother died.

Cicada felt her heart seize in her chest. Queen Acacia was DEAD?? How?
Her eyes flew over to her mother’s face, but Pollen just stared at her with an unbelieving expression.

Cyprus, having noticed Flytrap's entourage leaving the Poison Jungle, had silently followed them out of curious interest all the way to the Wasp Hive and inside. He was currently leaning back in a little nook from which he could see and hear everything, but wasn't visible to the others in the room. It seemed he had a talent for finding such places.

The Leafwing's eyes widened in horror as he heard the news of Acacia's death. Then they slowly narrowed down into amber slits. That Hivewing was going to pay for this. They all were. Big time. The green dragon fingered his dagger restlessly.
