Wings of Fire ~The RP: The Three Continents

Sorry, I was busy human-ing.

Venom’s brow furrowed, and she glanced back as well. *Does Fae mean to make..*
“The ICEWING?” She said, a highly doubtful expression on her face. “Really? Just cause he’s magic? And why a king? Nobody’s going to accept that, they’ll fight you.”
"Oh, dear, Venom, Venom, Venom," Fae spoke in a soft tone, "you don't need magic to be great. And I believe I have already made my point regarding inclusivity. Pyrrhia is so very divided. Partially due to different societies having advanced much faster than others. I will admit, the SkyWings have us beat when it comes to advancement. But SeaWings are a close, close second. The NightWings and RainWings, HA, they haven't changed a bit. Living in the old ways, as if the Darkstalk- stalker still roamed the earth," Fae winced at her slip up, wondering if the SeaWings were as well acquainted with the IceWing-famous villain. He always made a great antagonist in IceWing lore.
"Venom," Fae started, "I must be honest with you, the IceWings have recently suffered a massive loss in numbers. An incredible storm swept through, wiping out nearly half the population. No one knew what had happened to them for weeks- because no one came. Because of Pyrrhia's division, no one could help my tribe, the IceWings." Fae shook he head slowly. "It's terrible, really. How so many of us are living a prehistoric life. That is why so many IceWings died. That is why an entire tribe nearly went extinct."

“Oh- I didn’t know.” Venom said, trying to process all the information. ‘Darkstalker’ had been thrown out so casually. *He sounds like some sort of nightmare dragon legend.* The black dragon thought to herself. *I wonder if it’s just a SeaWing story..*

Aphono was thrilled, new dragons and city’s, so much to spy on!
He wondered if Venom would want that, or if maybe she only wanted to have him spy on dragons in Parsealia. He hadn’t ever gotten into the Lavawings lair, too well guarded by…lava.
And the Cavewing prison was somewhere he never wanted to end up again.
He wasn't far from Fae and Venom, and when he heard the idea to make the stupid, cocky, undignified Iceberg King, he nearly snorted but held back his laugh. No one could rule them all, that was as impossible as flying to the sun. The Rise of the Tarantula Queen was a tale that followed a similar path And the end was not pretty for her. She achieved her goal in a way, all the tribes came together at last. But only to hunt her and her followers down and kill them in the end. The fictional story was Aphono’s favorite as a dragonling.
This Queen of Two Tribes is clearly not thinking straight. I’ll have to advise Queen Venom not to trust her fully, or at all. Ha! One king to rule them all.” He thought

The sun quickly set long after Leif had tired of the guards conversations. He could see green in the distance, knowing the desert was yet a ways ahead, though they were nearly over the last mountain range.

The captain of the SeaWing guard flew to the front of the group, "Queen Venom, and my Queen," he dipped his head towards Fae, "I suggest we stay here for the night and continue our journey in the morning."
Fae nodded, soaring quickly to the rocks below.

The Webwing guards built a fire as the darkness covered the land, the stars began to shine brighter and two of the moons could be seen. The conversation had died down a bit as camp was being made, but soon enough everyone was curled up around a warm toasty fire. Aphono found a few dry hollow logs and good strong branches, tossed the extras to his fellow guards and they began to drum a steady beat. The others had no idea what was going on, but they didn’t need to. The forest around them was filled with ambient noises and mournful sounding bird calls that seemed to draw out longer than possible, it was almost eerie, until the drumming picked up. Aphono and one other steadily kept the tempo up and the others began to dance, soon enough a few Seawings joined in dancing around the large fire. “Just like home, I can’t believe I missed the Festival of the Lights..” he thought of the spectacular feasts and dancing at the yearly festival by the Webbed palace. He could see even though Venom had a lot on her mind, she was still smiling and enjoying the peaceful, calm of the camp along with the music.

Deepstar was hesitant, but soon enough she found she couldn’t resist dancing along to the crude music. The Webwings were surprisingly good dancers.

( lol idk where that came from, thought it was more interesting then “my characters slept” )

Leif fell asleep rather quickly as low voices conversed, though Fae did not. She stayed wide awake, cautiously watching Venom and her guards, though not letting on to her wary deminor towards the WebWings. The captain of the guard joined her, silently studying the new dragons with a hint of awe.

The night air was crisp and cool and everyone was enjoying themselves, Aphono passed his drumming sticks to the other Webwing and swapped places so he could dance. The beating of the dragons wings blazed the fire larger and larger, it’s warmth reaching them and forcing them to stop for a moment to let it burn lower. The dark blue Seawing, Deepstar, was lost in a world of her own, Moving her feet in time with the rhythm and smiling a big toothy smile.

After the fire was burned to embers and everyone was decently tired out, Aphono and the Webwings built themselves sleeping nests out of forest material and silk. Deepstar layed down in the cool, dewy grass and they all drifted off to sleep.

Just as the sky began to lighten to a pastel pink gradient, Fae motioned one of her waking guard's over. She was certain every WebWing eye was watching her as she spoke quitely with the soldier. The SeaWing nodded, lifting into the sky a moment later and disappearing behind the treeline.
Fae leapt from the large overhang where she and the Captain of the Guard had stayed that night, slowly making her way into the camp.
Leif lay sprawled out, belly up, beneath a large, leafy tree, obviously keeping his distance from the still smoldering camp fire.
Fae sauntered towards the IceWing and poked his chest, peering down at her brother. She prodded his shoulder gently, smiling, though he seemed to still be sleeping.
"Good morning," Fae whispered, standing over the IceWing Prince, "dear brother, I have a suggestion."
When Leif did not answer her, his body still limp, only disturbed by the steady rhythm of his breathing, Fae leaned down and whispered into his ear, her voice barely loud enough to be heard, "I suggest, you change your appearance. Deepstar is suspicious of you."
Immediately Leif's scales began to shift into a vibrant red, his expression curving into a smile.
Fae tensed, shoving her wing towards the Prince to cover his face, "Not a SKYWING, you idiot!" She hissed as Leif's scales returned to his regular color. "For one so frightened of their power, you certainly enjoy using it in spite." Fae huffed.
"This is true." Leif mumbled softly, his morning voice deep and scratchy.
"I cannot risk the SeaWings rioting against us. I realize I have not been very... Queenly as of late, but I have plans Leif, and we must follow them if this is to go accordingly-"
Leif's scales darkened slightly, more icy spikes protruded from his neck. The tips of his wings morphed into a deep gray as his blue chest whitened.
"Well. Maybe not that intense." Fae suggested, quietly, tucking her wing back, very aware of the watching WebWings and SeaWings.
Leif opened his eyes, and she was almost shocked to see how light they were- nearly white. "Make up your mind, lady." He whispered with a smile.
Fae dipped her head towards him, rolling her eyes, "We will be leaving soon."
Leif rolled over and fell back asleep.
