Wings of Fire ~The RP: The Three Continents

"Yes, I'm an IceWing!" Walrus said to Brightscales, gasping for air and slowly lifting herself up. "I have so many questions. What do you mean the Rainforest kingdom is on fire!? And- no. No, I can't go back to the Ice kingdom... I'm kind of escaping it right now."
But would I rather take venom to the face? Is it even true that they have venom? But that RainWing said they're not murderous.
She turned to Reva. "My name is Walrus. What- why are- no, how are you here?"
"Last I checked, I was the one asking the questions." Reva spat, glaring at a curious RainWing who's head was only visible. The dragon shifted back and Reva followed slowly shifting her scales to match the coarse sand under her talons. "Let's just knock her out again and go. We can't waste another second out here. Who knows when a SandWing patrol might be flying through." She turned to Brightscales. "We  need to go."

(UGH. BUGG OFF. 🤣 )

Cyprus didn't have time for this brat. "Why is she even following me anyway??"
He could tell she wasn't very intimidated by his threats. "Pshht. You're nothing to me, "your highness" or whatever kind of grub you are." He mocked.
“Oh THANK YOU.” Cicada rolled her eyes. “Your singular LeafWing loyalty means a LOT sir.”
The Leafwing walked faster toward the entrance, as if trying to lose her. Suddenly, he spun around, whirling his vine lasso* he caught her leg with it, flipping her backwards and then releasing as he made a hasty exit, bailing out of the nearest opening toward the grassland below. His wings opened with a *WHOMP* as he sailed down behind a large boulder.
Cyprus heard a faint; “RUDE!” As he flew off.

Cicada frowned and flapped her four wings quickly to upright herself. A stinger slid out from her wrist and she quickly cut herself free. Flying over to the boulder, Cicada glanced down, but didn’t see the retreating LeafWing. “Weird.” She muttered to herself.
She stood, muscles tensed, wondering if she should follow the dragon, or go back to the Hive.
The boring Hive.
Well it had books, but those could be boring at times.
Cicada always knew she had good natural instincts, learning from books and practice, but possible going to the poison jungle would certainly put her skills to the test. She certainly didn’t have leafspeak or acute senses when it came to plants.

The HiveWing lifted her wings with a flick of her muscles and flapped them rapidly, flying towards the direction Cyprus had gone.

*(not like an USA cowboy, but like a South American one. Cyprus's is a strong, flexible vine with a weight (rock or something) on the end.)
It’s called a bola, child. 🙄

"What are you implying?" Reva began, but quickly backed down angerly taking a step back and letting Brightscales deal with mysterious dragon. "Hurry up, Brightscales," she growled, glancing at the blinding sun, "we need to get moving again."

“I’m not sure what started the fire.” Brightscales said. “But why can’t you go back to the Ice kingdom? I thought you said your an IceWing?” She glanced back at the tunnel they had come through. “What? Thi- the tunnel? The animus-made tunnel? It comes from the Rainforest kingdom of course! The question is, what’s an Ice dragon doing in the kingdom of Sand?”

“Reva, NO.” Brightscales said, exasperated.
“And SandWings wouldnt patrol this far anyway, right? Calm down!”
The RainWing queen sighed. “Hello Walrus.” She said with a tired smile. “How about you accompany us? I can fly over you and camouflage you best I can.”

"I'm coming." Leif answered, quickly. "Definitely coming. How far is this Scorpion Den from here?"
“On the other side of the desert.” Raptor said bluntly, already getting a sinking feeling that Leif would be asking questions the whole flight.
“It’s a couple hours away. Get used to the sun too.”
The sun had indeed peeled through the foggy clouds typically covering the kingdom of Ice, and Raptor’s scales glowed warmly. The snowy tundra had already disappeared, and the rough in-between area was steadily getting sandier.

"Oh THREE MOONS, Brightscales." Reva hissed, angerly, giving up and lifting into the air. "My group is leaving. We need to hurry if you want to save the rainforest!" She growled, beating her wings in the air for a moment. "Alright!" She shouted to the invisible crowd behind her, "Let's go!"

Leif panted and gasped for breath dramatically, "You live in this? Disgusting."

“Right! Right. I’m coming.” Brightscales said, glancing over at Walrus. “Ready?” She asked her.
Leif panted and gasped for breath dramatically, "You live in this? Disgusting."
“You would say that.” Raptor said. “Your kingdom is ridiculously cold.” She snapped. “How do you even eat? What do you eat? Ice? Snow?”

"Um... yeah, I am," Walrus said awkwardly. "But it's... it's a little complicated. I mean... I, uh..." Her eyes suddenly widened with realization. "The ocean!" She cried, then stopped herself. Did RainWings know IceWings didn't swim in the ocean? Walrus remembered a scroll saying that RainWings couldn't read. Maybe they don't know much about IceWings, Walrus hoped.

They can read by now. IceWings actually do swim! Not like SeaWings, of course. But they do it to stay clean and hunt seals and other cold-water creatures.
"Wait! How is the Ice kingdom going to save the rainforest!?" Walrus called after her.
All of Brightscales’s scales shifted colors to match the sand and sky except for a streak of black scales down her black and for her ruff. “They can use their frostbreath on the fire!” Her voice said.

(Yeah, I thought I might have read something about that in book 7, but I guess I wasn't sure.)

"I don't know if the queen will put together an army for that..." Walrus said, but she ducked underneath Brightscales and hovered under her, hoping she would be well hidden.
