Wings of Fire ~The RP: The Three Continents

meanwhile that night, Chenoa was semi-lost in the endless dunes of sand. She thought she was close to the nightwings caves, but had never wandered that far. Suddenly she thought she heard a twig or nut crack. Chenoa was panicking. Was that a nightwing? She heard her tutor's voice in her head *A princess always remains calm, unless in an emergency*. She took a deep breath, and called out "Who's there?".

somebody with a nightwing please come! I need a night wing for Chenoa to have heard!
Can Chenoa still mind read or did you get rid of that?

The swamp was stagnant and muggy. The midday sun beat down in little patches through the trees. There was not the slightest stirring of air. All was completely still except for the buzz of a myriad of small insects, mainly mosquitoes.

Then, quite unexpectedly, a single bubble deliberately arose to the surface. Just one.
It sat for a moment and then popped just as a fly tried to land on it.
Stillness reigned once more.
But then- two more bubbles. They too sat for a moment, and then were gone.

Suddenly the water seemed to come alive! It heaved up in a huge, shapeless mass. But it wasn't just water. The form of a large, thick-bodied dragon emerged as the water flowed off of it. It was a Mudwing.
The big dragon climbed out of the water and onto a clayey bank nearby where the sun was striking at its hottest. He shook like a dog, flinging the water from his scales as he sighed contentedly and plopped down into the warm mud.
Canebrake smiled as he looked around him. "What a BEAUTIFUL day." The Mudwing thought to himself.
A dragonfly, having just caught a mosquito, alighted on his thick snout and began to eat. The dragon suppressed a monster sized rumble of a giggle as he lay stock-still and watched the dragonfly eat.

Name: Ender
Gender: Male
Age: 21
Tribe: NightWing
Physical appearance: Like your typical NightWing. His horns are twisted, and his eyes are brown rather than a typical black. Quite strong, and silver teardrop scales behind his eyes.
Personality: Ender is a very quiet dragon, prone to listening rather than speaking. Although he likes being in company of the NightWing because their thoughts aren’t judgmental, he enjoys exploring and being alone.
Backstory: When Ender turned eighteen, he decided to visited every Tribe, even the Panlaian ones. The only Tribes he hasn’t visited are the LeafWings and the IceWings.
YESS!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS!!!!
I smell a good adition to this story! Chenoa has visited the Icewings and Leafwings, so she knows all about them, and sees the icewings as fellow dragon friends.

(Yeah yeah I know, typical Mudwing life. Blah blah blah boring. 🤣)

Blackflower’s eyes widened. “It’s just like-“ she started, then stopped, shaking her head. “No. We need another animus. That’s the only thing that stopped every evil animus in the past.”
The NightWing queen frowned. “Unfortunately, neither us or the RainWings have animuses.”
Her eyes gazed over Reva quickly. “Let’s not do this here though. Go see a medic, then come up to the castle. We’ll talk there.” Blackflower flew back to the tall black and silvery grey palace.
Reva left and had a NightWing healer set the bones back in place. Once he was finished, Reva left and headed towards the palace, thousands of thoughts and ideas flooding through her mind. She stalked through the Palace, hoping Blackflower was nearby.

“Just me.”
A quiet voice was heard behind her, and a black dragon stepped from the shadow he was in.

Reva left and had a NightWing healer set the bones back in place. Once he was finished, Reva left and headed towards the palace, thousands of thoughts and ideas flooding through her mind. She stalked through the Palace, hoping Blackflower was nearby.
”Oh, Reva, good.” Blackflower said, apparently having been waiting for her sister.
She lead the injured dragon to the throne room and sat down at the large, long table in the middle of the room. “So what’s the IceWing’s name? What spells has he done so far? Etcetera. We need to gather all we can on him.”

The IceWings retreated. Kalmar and a handful of other SeaWings chased them to the surface, them held back. Freezing death breath could travel faster and further out of water. They returned to the Deep Palace. Kalmar carefully opened the Palace doors. The Animus hadn't come out yet. What was he doing? He and two other soldiers crept through the halls. They came to a large steel wall which had definitely not been there before. Scale shaped dents jutted out in somd places. A muffled roar echoed through the tiny prison. "There he is," Kalmar whispered, "Koi just saved the world." He turned to one of his guards, "I want twenty guards positioned here day and night. We're going to the Summer Palace, I don't want the tribe near this beast."

(Now, Koi does have a daughter, right?)

"Ugh." Reva exhaled, trying to remember all that had happened. "Honestly, I have no idea. He was huge. Like, massive, and his scales where impervious to my poison. I don't know his name, but Walrus would. It's the IceWing animus, I'm sure she will know."
