“Well I would say that’s a twisted mindset. You’re a NightWing. How can you have no loyalty to the tribe you were hatched into? Don’t you have p-parents..” His voice drifted away, and he turned his back to Chenoa, his mind whirling with the thoughts of two older NightWings.

"Just wait." Fae whispered, sauntering down four flights of stairs before stopping at a small doorway. She peeked her head inside, glad to see the small library was empty. "Koi left this secret to her heirs. Well hidden, but, whew, it's a dangerous secret." Fae laughed, gently removing a precarious stack of books and setting them to the side, revealing a small safe built into the shelf. "Here we are." She jammed the key into the safe, twisting it sharply until the box clicked. Fae pocketed the key in a pouch around her neck, reaching into the safe, her talon emerging, draped with a gold chain. "Secrets, secrets," she whispered, glancing up at Silver with a sly grin. "Would you like to see the third continent?"

"Who wouldn't?" Silver said with a light chuckle.

“Of course I had parents. I just don’t know who they are, if they are still alive, and if they even remember that they left an egg in the Ice Kingdom 21 years ago!” Chenoa replied coldly. It wasn’t her choice to be raised by IceWings.

Ender turned, his eyes glowing bright with anger and sorrow. “Well at least YOU didn’t have to watch your parents die of sickness right in front of you.” He said in a low, chilling voice, and immediately flapped up into the sky, flying speedily northeast.
Away from the Night Kingdom forever. Again.

"Who wouldn't?" Silver said with a light chuckle.

Fae gently placed a talon on the IceWing's shoulder, shifting into her NightWing form. She slipped the chain over her wrist, and they vanished instantly, leaving the eaves-dropping SeaWing to shiver with fear as he ducked behind a bookshelf.

Fae looped the bracelet tightly around her wrist. Grass rustled in the breeze, swaying softly. Deep blue, cloud dotted skies greeted them as Fae launched into the sky, surveying the large, grassy field. It seemed to stretch on for miles, hills and valleys scattered throughout. "I have yet to explore." She called down to Silver, motioning for him to join her. "Really, I only found Koi's journal yesterday. I only stayed for a minute or two. I had to get back for Leif."
