Winter adjustment to my Ventilation Design?

Hey All!
Beautiful Autumn so far here in Westchester, NY and with it has been some breezy, cooler weather! (My favorite weather!) However, I am concerned about my coops ventilation design as it pertains to the coming winter. I was thinking I could possibly put some clear plastic liner on the sides vents (visible Straight on in the pic below) and leave the openings at the high and low ends open (indicated by red arrows). All vent openings are predator proofed with hardware cloth.
Any thoughts, suggestions etc??

Your ventilation is high up like it should be. If you think the wind would create a draft inside coop, capable of ruffling the chicken's feathers, I suggest you install a baffle. Closing off with plastic MOST peeps would not favor.
Furnace air filters like pictured would slow air movement from wind sufficiently to not create a draft situation.

These blue filters are fiberglass mat that is not affected by rain and snow.

Staple to inside of coop, for a neat exterior appearance.

Like that idea. I actually found a HVAC air return grille and put it over my large window opening to help reduce a winter draft but still allow good ventilation in the coop.

Great ideas!! My only concern is I was hoping to keep some natural lighting.. in case they choose to stay in on cold days 🤔.. but I really like the idea of maintaining air flow throughout! I still have some time before it gets really cold! Thank you all so much for your continued advice and help!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I did a "weird" thing to keep lighting in a coop.....

Because I have tons of other ventilation I got 2 glass cutting boards 7" square each and made a "window". It doesn't open....I have lots of other venting so it doesn't need to open.

This is on the south side of a tiny coop I am putting together for 3 elderly bantams.

Throwing it out as an idea.

hey we’re new to having chickens..we bought a coop from Leonard’s...we close the ramp and window at night ...how much ventilation do the girls need at night the ramp is open all day? Ty

Leonard's has many different coops, Most that I seen on line are pretty coops. I have no idea what ventilation they build into them. A big factor is also your number of chickens. The bigger the number, the more moisture is generated in their respiration. Also the falling gumdrops do generate ammonia to a degree.
If you would post a pix of the ventilation present in the top portion of your coop, then we can make further suggestions.
