For even more thoroughness....post pics of your coop showing it's mods and tell us how many birds you keep in it?

That looks like a nice coop. We built all of our coops. Each one is different in ways but all function well. My avatar is some of them. I was given a couple of coops. I renovated one of them and dismantled the other less finished one. I used the wood from the one coop to make rain/shade tables for the other coops and pens.

If you are plan to raise chicken for more than few years, use exterior wood for the base. The interior wood won't last long.

I know it’s probably the last thing you want to hear but i’d return it and build your own the “wood” they use on those is going to fall apart so easily and not hold up in any kind of weather. I live in Minnesota where we get tons of snow and that coop would never keep my birds both warm and dry. As for bringing them out there wait as long as you can to give them a better chance!
