winter egg laying even with light?

We are giving the girls a few hours of extra light with a light bulb and are only getting about 1/2 the eggs as before. Also NO Auracana eggs. Is that normal?

Just remember, chickens are not machines. They can go through seasons of heavy and light and NO laying. Winter, moulting, feed changes etc.

I just wish mine were old enough ..
