winter must be about over

i got 8/10 hens layed this morning with 2 on the boxes they must think winters over or think im going to replace them since i just added 3new hens a few days ago either way im happy

1st winter with chickens almost over with no fatality

That's great you got so many eggs and you haven't lost anyone! I really hope you are right about winter almost being over.....

Yay! Congrats! My hens have started back up with a vengeance too. Suddenly I have more eggs than we can eat.

And then they are forecasting 6 to 10 inches of snow for this weekend... UGH!

I wish winter was over. It's 10 degrees out right now, and it feels like 1 degree. I only had one hen quit laying, the rest all lay. The one hen who quit laying laid one egg last week when the weather got a little warmer, but then the temps dropped again, so she has gone back to her free loading ways.
