I watched quite a bit of the Winter Olympic today. It is so hot over here and watching people skiing on cold snow make me feel cooler.

Over here we are big on summer Olympic sport, swimming..etc... after all we are an Island Continent

I was just saying this last night! Australia dominates in summer olympics, then just fades into obscurity for winter.

That's actually not true. I saw you guys earlier today. Maybe in ice skating? It probably costs a ton of money to go train in another country for ski sports, etc.

You are right with that there.
I think it would cost a lot to go to another country to train snow sport, we don't have snow like the EU, US, or Canada so we are not expert in this sport, we won some, but not dominating like US, EU or Canada.

I am surprise New Zealand out done Australia in winter Olympic. Might be they have more snow than us.

But both Olympic summer and winter, US very good. Swimming you got Michael Phelps, figure skating and also America has a big team too, the more the higher rate of better outcome.

Russia has a very small team, might be not enough snow this winter?

I will find out when they show Ice Hockey US - Canada. It was an awesome match last time I watched it which was many years ago.

We've been watching whatever my in-laws have had on.
Figure skating, downhill skiing (such a pity about Lindsey Vonn's run), ice hockey, curling, luge. I especially enjoyed the team skating.

I hope Lindsey recovers from all that and compete in the next Winter Olympic. I can imagine how disappointed she feels.

I watch the winter Olympic in the evening after all the work is done, then I sit down with my nice cup of tea and settle for the evening so I watch whatever is one. Whichever it is still cover in snow

I hope Lindsey recovers from all that and compete in the next Winter Olympic. I can imagine how disappointed she feels.

Unfortunately from what I understand, that was her last time participating in the Olympics.
