winter shelter

pickles I just reread this entire post AGAIN and I find that you love life and goat and ifd. You have a real flare with your writing, keep it up as we all love your work and wait patiently for the next installment.

so i have learned so much in my short time on this property. somethings like always put five gallon buckets of water in side large tires if you want them to be there not tipped over even five minutes later. if that doens't work, then dig a hole for the buckket and then put the tire over that. now that one always works.

you've got to have a plan to get rid of poop everyday. whether it means raking it to the side, or a hole, or compost or over beds for next year or whatever. that is my most not succesful part. i can dig holes and ditches and this or that. but the train of waste needs to make severl diffferent stops around the yard. keep saying i'm gong to buy a wheelbarrow but i don'tl. maybe that should be my next purchase. hmmm.

night

okay. being a good girl and poop scooping today. do you think my neighbors are making a parade for me?

it just kills my back and also my breathing. i had coffe out there i put high up in a tree. well as high as i could reach. came back out and smoking teenage goat had knocked it out of tree. kerplunk.

i was so bugged. but i am tiling various places and have used broken stuff before in the tiling so i guess i can add this cup to that. my favorite one!

no i do not have a wheelbarrow yet. but i have managed to do a good amount today. prolly will not finish all that needs to be done, but at least three quarters of it i'm hoping.

is there a way to go back in time and have teenagers but just for sunday afternoon chores?

okay. now i have samples to practice for my fantastic goat fecal testing factory. anyone need any of my extra?

okay. am starting to use ifd's real name more often. at least in real life.

she was inside tonight when i got home from work. late. midnightish. waaaa. anyway. i brought her inside and she shared space with the inside dogs (prissy cheerleadery chihuahuahs) and the barn cat that i've been letting eat inside so that every dog in the neighborhood isn't eating her food.

anway. no fights. NOTHING was knocked over. no eaten glasses. or phones. or anything. no trash knocked over. no bread stolen off counter. no chihuhua picked up by her sweater cause ifd thinks it's her personal chew toy.

nothing.

this is also the first time where she sat down next to me and got petted without me literally sitting on her to get her to stay still. and she enjoyed it. it's like she finally realized what the point of getting petted was. she has had a routine of a few minutes a day of me sitting with one leg over her (she's a very strong dog) and petting or scratching her. she submits (cause im sittining on her). but today, she came and sat next to me and put her head on my lap. and i petted her. and she was so sweet. and then she rolled over and showed me her tummy and i petted her more.

it's like she's learned to read. here i was thinking my eighteen year old would never ever graduate high school and she's learned to read. and she's not even pregnant.

actually, she's only now getting to be near a year old. but she's just so darn big. everyone has told me to GET RID OF HER. but i'm an idiot and have kept her. maybe i should just put her on a.d.d. meds. lol.

so proud of her.
