Winter Snow Pics of My Place & a Surprise (not dial-up friendly)

Well this is the most snow we've had in the 6 years I've lived here. Usually we get 4' of snow fall over the whole season, this year I think we're up to 6' and 3' of it came all at once. It's really not that bad, I have a quad with a snow plow blade on it that usually keeps up with the snow without too much trouble. I live on a bus route so I only have to plow to the street (about 1/4 mile) then the county plows the bus route. So even if I couldn't get out to the street, I could always leave my car up on the street and hoof it in and out to the house. We have a quickie-mart kind of gas station about 5 miles from our house and a regular supermarket about 12 miles from the house. So while it seems we're out in the sticks, we're really not. Should the power go out, we have a wood burning stove and generator to get us through.

As for summer, we usually have one week in july that gets in to the 100's. But other than that 80's-90's, great for going out on the lake in the boat, or a nice bike ride up at the equestrian center. September is my favorite month, mild weather in the 70's the fall colors start coming out and the days are long, the sun doesn't go down until about 9:30pm.

June, July & August are summer here. Temp wise, it can be 70's to 90's. It's the humidity that makes it seem worse.

The snow will be gone late March, early April. I just started my seeds for planting.

My chooks live indoors, & it was 70F this morning. They want to know if they will get air conditioning for the summer.
