I'm about three hours from the Falls in NY state. We try to visit once or twice per year. We usually take a rental vehicle to avoid adding miles onto ours. Some of the rental car companies won't allow us to bring their SUV's into Canada because there is a high rate of theft, specifically with SUV's . Other car rental places don't want Americans to bring any of their rental cars into Canada...period. One SUV that we rented had Massachusetts plates (for some reason). At the border crossing, we were questioned heavily because we said that we were from NY and were driving a Massachusetts vehicle. Luckily, we had the rental contract with us!

Side of my house, you can see the snowrake I've been using to try to get some of the snow off the roof. There are 3ft drifts in some places. I got to go shovel some of it today, as we are expecting an icestorm later.

The developers made me an offer I could not refuse.

I bought the house & 50 acres almost 8 years ago purely as an investment. I had sold my locksmith biz that I owned for 12 years in 2006, & was basically semi retired at 44 years old. I cashed out a stock portfolio that was heavy on Petro Canada Petroleum that I had bought in the 80's. And we all know what gas prices are like now. I more than doubled what I had paid for the house. how do you people do it??? we sissy's down here all run to the store and buy up the bread and milk if they even hint at a snowflake!!LOL! Beautiful place and a beautiful home. How warm does it get in the summer? My son has dreams of moving to Canada. Do your chicks have to wear coats??LOl!
