Winter weather frozen fog

This morning we had some super foggy winter weather. Took some neat pictures of it. The dangling frozen pine needles through the hardwire ceiling look like shag carpet lol! Pretty neat what frozen condensation looks like.

This is a picture I took of the frost on my windshield one morning. If you zoom in, it looks like feathers.

Ya, I think both my roosters got a touch of frostbite on thier combs and waddles. I'm totally ready for spring to get here. I dont like the cold. But at least it was pretty white for a while.

winter time is beautiful I agree! The frozen fog always puts on a show! Love it!
After the past month (especially last week) I'm over it. Old Man Winter can go home! Lol!

Nice pics. That’s rime ice caused by supercooled water (fog) droplets coming into contact with below freezing surfaces. We get it a lot up here in the mountains where they are frequently socked in the clouds. You usually have to get pretty cold to have a cloud, or fog, composed of complete ice...usually around -30F to -40F/C. That’s called diamond dust, but it’s basically just a cirrus cloud at the surface instead of plane cruising levels.
