I used to worry that my chickens would get too cold on winter nights. I recently found this one morning after a snow, and single digit temps overnight.

I no longer worry about them generating enough heat to stay warm.

I'm wondering about the ventilation in your coop. It looks like there's a pretty thick frost buildup on the windows (probably inside?) That might indicate not enough ventilation and could increase the risk of your birds getting frostbite in cold weather.

Not frost, just dusty and scratched up plastic. I haven't wiped it off recently. Appreciate the concern though!

I had RIRs that would roost 8-10 feet up in a hedge all winter and other seasons. Only time they used the coop was cold rain and snow,. or to lay their eggs, eat and drink. No ill effects.
