Mine actually started laying their first eggs ever this past week in the cold and almost 2 ft of snow. Of course I had to shovel some for them to go outside. It was -17 yesterday morning and we got two eggs. I only had 1 laying up til then. I'm just feeding all our food scraps, some bird seed and corn as scratch now and then and gamebird and turkey grower. But oooo boy do they eat a ton when it gets colder. On the warm days they don't eat much. A normal weeks worth of food was gone in a day and a half a few days ago.
