Winterizing project done

Just in time, we are already down to 32F last night!

Here are a few pics showing the winterized coop - used carpenter grade plastic, 10' sections - stapled the upper and lower edges to 1/2" strip PT which I cut from decking material, then drilled into Run frame. I figure this way it will be all together to be taken down, rolled up and used next winter again.

The coop is glass heavy - We had several old sliding doors from when we replaced our house sliding doors, and, recently our good neighbor B & K.Smith gave us their old windows after getting new ones. It's good to have great neighbors!



 
Talk about space - great run size smcgill! That should work!

As for ventilation: the front gable is fully open, also, around the roof is open all away around, except for Hardware cloth. That should do it, though we will have a hygrometer in there as well.
