Wire Egg collection baskets

Wire to people Choose wire Baskets over many other Options that are available to collect eggs in ? And what do you use for your backyard flock ?

I use my pockets and sometimes my shirt.

I prefer wire over wicker because when my natural grace shows itself and I break eggs their a lot easier to clean.

I made an apron with egg size pockets. The top of the pocket is a little smaller than the bottom to hold the eggs in. I think wire seems more durable to a lot of people

For what it's worth, I use wire. An unexpected plus to wire is when I accidentally leave the basket in the run (fortunately without any eggs). A wire basket is much easier to clean than a woven basket. I would just use what is convenient and most useful for you.

Wire might be easier too clean, allows stray straw, feathers to fall thru.

I have a pretty wire basket for whim, and plain plastic bucket......
....and use hoodies and jacket pockets, especially in winter when gathering just a few at a time throughout the freezing days.
