Wire flooring

Hi,

I am currently building a simple two story coop, with a second level coop and a small outdoor area beneath.
In the original design I decided to do a completely enclosed bottom as a wished to place the food and water dispensers in there and wanted the chickens to still have complete access to them, meaning the access door and ramp to the bottom would always be open, with another secured door placed in one of the sides out to the extended run.
Since reading up on bumble foot though I'm wondering if a wire bottom would cause serious foot problems continuously though.
I've read about burying wire skirting or burying wire floors however I wanted the coop somewhat mobile to give the chicken access to varied foraging ground, although maybe foraging thought the wire floor is too restrictive anyhow...
Doesn't anyone have any experience with exposed wire floors?
Ideally the chickens will spend most of their day in an extended run, however I also hoped that in a pinch the lower (secure) level of the cage would offer them unsupervised outside time.

Any thoughts at all on this, as I can't find any information about wire cage bottoms used like this, only buried or suspended ones.

Wire floor rested on the ground works very well. It protects them but does not hurt their feet (if it is the right type) and still allows plenty of grass and bug foraging. It will prevent them from scratching up the ground and is moveable.
However, if you leave the coop too long, the grass grows up into the wire and prevents it from being moved.

Sorry for taking so long to responds.

Best of luck!
