Oshkosh has passed backyard chickens and the Town of Menasha now allows up to 4 hens.

I live in south central Wisconsin. My little township has zonign rules that prohibit chickens.

Does anyone have any advice for getting a very small township to change their zoning rules?

I live on Daffodil...I have never seen any chickens anywhere in Como, you are doing a fantastic job!

The city of Adams does not allow chickens at all, but Friendship allows up to 25.

Town of Dunkirk... There were waiting for Dane county to change but got tired of waiting.

The leading proponent did a great job and collected 90 signatures. Approval was unanimous.

I live in lake Geneva (como) exactly ,
I am very disappointed , I have some chickens , no one can see them they are in a pen and no one hears them ,
we have $ bars . yes that is right 4 bars on my road . you have drunks driving all night and on wrestling days the music shakes the house , but you cant have chickens ,,,, ? something here isn't right and something needs to change,

"No person shall raise or propagate domestic fowl, hogs, cattle, goats, sheep, horses or any other kind of domestic animal of any kind, except dogs and cats, or maintain what are commonly known as a chicken house or yard, horse barn or yard, rabbit house or yard, for such purpose within the limits of the City without obtaining a zoning permit so to do from the Council under the procedures specified in the City Zoning Ordinance."

(I also live in Lake Como and the only thing holding me back is making sure it's ok with the law before building the coop)

Found this also. The whole walkouts county, minus one town, allows chickens, with a few regulations. 6 hens max, no roosters.
